What is there to say about this chocolate sauce, except it is simply perfect, oh and it is seriously quick and easy to make. What more could you ask for from a chocolate sauce! Enjoy this silky sauce hot over vanilla ice cream or use as a dipping sauce for strawberries.
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
pinch cream of tartar
4 tbsp cocoa
2 tbsp butter
10ml vanilla essence
- Combine the sugar, water, cream of tartar, salt and cocoa in a pot.
- Bring to the boil and boil for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and cool slightly.
- Add the vanilla essence and stir through.
