As promised, here is the second Cheese Cake recipe. This has to be the ultimate unbaked cheese cake and I have yet to find somebody who doesn’t like. If you want to take it up a notch, grate your favourite chocolate over the top. Either way, it’s perfection with every mouthful.
Cheese Cake
Ingredients
Base
30ml castor sugar
½ packet Marie biscuits crushed
50ml butter
Filling
397g tin condensed milk
125ml lemon juice
250ml creamed cottage cheese
Chocolate for grating over the top – optional
Method
Base
- Mix the castor sugar with the biscuits.
- Melt the butter and add to the biscuits and mix until the biscuits are well coated.
- Press into a greased pie dish and refrigerate.
Filling
- Combine the condensed milk with the lemon juice and beat until thick.
- Add the cream cheese and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the biscuit base.
- Grate chocolate over the top and refrigerate.

Cheese cake again? Thanks, Mandy!! Cheese cake is never enough! 😉
Hi Rita. It’s difficult sometimes to have just one favourite. 😉
wow…that looks so creamy and delicious! I have never made an unbaked cheesecake or used cottage cheese! It sounds so easy and looks incredible!
Hi Chef Dennis, thanks! This is a great recipe for a quick and easy last minute dessert or tea time treat.
Unbaked? Amazing! I’m in.
I know, it’s great, so quick and easy!
Hi Mandy! This recipe looks amazing!
I made cream cheese frosting for the first time today and I was wondering if it’s supposed to have a mild yogurt like taste. I never tasted it before. 🙂
I didnt add too much sugar though since i read that the frosting becomes more runny with more sugar.
It does have a slight yoghurt taste – what kind of sugar did you use? Icing (confectioners) sugar? 🙂
Yes, I used icing sugar. The frosting does become nice and firm after refrigerating for a few hours. I was just helping myself from a bowl of leftover frosting in the fridge. 🙂 Used it on a pumpkin spice cake.
I am sure you could use more icing sugar – it shouldn’t make the mixture thinner and will lesson the taste of “yoghurt” too. The pumpkin spice cake sounds lovely. Hope to see the recipe soon. have a great evening. 🙂
Thanks Mandy. I’ll definitely be experimenting more with the cream cheese!
I’ll put up the recipe for halloween, even though we don’t celebrate here in Mauritius. 🙂
We don’t celebrate it here either, but it is always nice to share. have a great evening. 🙂
