Short Bread

I don’t know what else I can tell you about this Short Bread other than you just have to make it!  It is a recipe that has been in my family for generations and will be for generations to come.  There is simply no better recipe nor an easier recipe and it is perfect for Christmastime!

Short Bread

2ml salt
Extra castor sugar for sprinkling

  2. Rub the butter into the dry ingredients to form a dough.
  3. Press the mixture into a baking tin and prick with a fork.
  4. Bake for one hour.
  5. While still hot cut into squares.
  6. Once cooled sprinkle with castor sugar.

  1. What to say about shortbread? It’s my favourite treat. Especially if accompanied by an Earl Grey cup of tea (from Fortnum & Mason, of course!)
