Chocolate Fridge Squares

I got this lovely recipe from my mother-in-law, who is just the sweetest lady.  When my husband and I were still courting, we used to make periodic visits from Johannesburg (where we we living at the time) to Port Elizabeth to visit family.  I remember these Chocolate Fridge Squares were the first things I ever ate in my (to be mom-in-laws)  home.  A sweet treat from a sweet lady.

Chocolate Fridge Squares

Ingredients

200g dark chocolate
100g butter melted
2tsp brandy
1 box boudoir biscuits roughly broken

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate over a bowl of hot water or over a double boiler.
  2. Add the butter and brandy to the melted chocolate.
  3. Stir in the broken biscuits and press the mixture into a greased glass dish and place in the fridge to set.
  4. Cut into squares.
