Getting to know you series -1

I came across my posts for Getting To Know You Better the other day and thought it would be nice to revive the idea.  No rules to play along, no having to tag anybody, just join in if you want to or if you haven’t already.  This really is a lovely way to get to know a bit more about each other.  Simply copy the questions and fill in your answers on your blog. 🙂  Please link back to this post so I don’t miss out on your answers.

  3. Fun! I will have to join in … I like the questions you’ve chosen. Surprising that you’ve never owned a slow cooker. I own one, but it is neglected at best, I think it’s because I prefer browned food more than soft, all mixed together food. 😉 Great idea here.

  5. What? No tripe? Now I have to re-plan my entire menu for your visit. The original was tripe-themed. Glad you started this exercise. I know better now than to serve tripe. I guess I’ll go with Plan B, rhubarb. Wait a minute …

    • Um, John, you see, um, well, I cannot come visit until after you have made tripe and rhubarb – tell you what I will eat the rhubarb with a smile on my face just so long as I don’t have to eat the tripe – now that is a great compromise, right? *breathes deep* 🙂 xo

  6. I don’t think trip and rhubarb would make a nice pie. Lovely questions. Are there paper copies of your book Mandy so i can buy one? only because I keep having to come back to the site to look things up, it is time I had your recipes on my counter! c

    • Hee hee – oh what a thought – tripe and rhubarb in a pie – makes me like them even less C!
What an honour that you want to buy one of my books – yes I do still have paper copies. I will send you and email with all the details. Please send me back your address so I can post it to you. You will have to be a wee bit patient with the postal service though – it seems to be somewhat slow. Thanks again C, very special of you to buy a copy. 🙂 xo

  7. I’m enjoying your revival. What I’m surprised about is that parsley is one of the three herbs most people have picked. I grow it in my garden but it wouldn’t be in my top three favorites but is seems I’m in the minority. 🙂

  8. Loved this! Sorry it took me so long to get here. I’d find it hard to pick one favourite food but I think crab is somewhere up in the top 10! Just packing away my tripe and rhubarb pate recipe as I guess we won’t be needing it 🙂

  9. What a fantastic idea! I’ve seen these Getting To Know You email messages at work between friends but I never thought of putting that on a blog! Great thinking on your part!! 🙂
