For Kim – Cupcake Icing (Frosting) video

Kim I am proud to say we finally managed to get the video done while Pete was home for a few days last week. πŸ™‚

Dairy free cupcakes

No points to me though as Pete did all the work – the video, editing, music (all though I did chose the song) oh and iced the cupcakes.

I very excitedly started this post to upload the video but alas I have to purchase a video upgrade so Pete suggested I upload it to YouTube instead and place the link in this post. I have such a clever husband.

  1. Miss A watched this with me tonight and she thought it was a professional commercial. She loved it! And we were both super impressed Mandy. Beautifully done and you make it look so easy. πŸ™‚

  2. Great video! And even better frosting expertise. I think you have a steadier hand than I do but now I think I have to go out & buy those tools. I can remember my mother singing that song to me.
I’ve been having nothing but problems with editing videos ever since I got Windows 8.

  3. Well aint you a clever little lady! πŸ™‚ Feel free to swing round to ice my cakes any time Miss Mandy. PS: Not sure if my Gen Y brain has kicked in, but that last statement was not at all supposed to sound dirty. LOL! Gorgeous looking cupcakes.

  4. This was a wonderful video and, for someone like myself, a great tutorial. I don’t know when I’ll find myself frosting cupcakes — or anything, for that matter — but I’ll come back to your video when I do.
By the way, I’d no idea that you sang, too. πŸ˜€

  5. Brilliant! Loved the song too – can you here me singing along? I’ve never ventured into decorating cakes, but have bought myself some nozzle thingies and a bag, now I don’t have any more excuses thanks to your film πŸ™‚

    • I Jane, welcome and thanks for stopping by. I am so sorry to say I don’t have a post with instructions. I shall have to rectify that soon. There is no real art to how I ice. If I am going to do a swirl, I start on the outside of the cupcake and work my way to the centre usually finishing with a raised centre and if I am doing the “dots”, I place one in the middle, then two to each of the sides, then turn the cupcake and do the same on the sides to form an X and then fill in the open spaces usually with 3 more dots. I do hope this helps until I can do a post. Have a super weekend πŸ™‚ Mandy xo
