Un-Recipe – A bowl of pasta

I cannot remember when I last shared a un-recipe and this one couldn’t be easier.  I am starting to think I am craving so much pasta because of the running as I wasn’t that much of a pasta eater before.  I must confess to not making my own pasta for this dish, I simply opened a packet of store bought, well wouldn’t be much of an un-recipe if I had.

Un-Recipe – Bowl of Pasta

Ingredients

Pasta of choice
Olive oil
Garlic crushed
Coriander chopped
Salt and black pepper
Cheese of choice grated

Method

  1. Boil pasta as per package instruction.
  2. Stir in a good glug of olive oil with the garlic and coriander.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper and top with cheese.

    • I love the idea of sage, such an underused herb in my opinion. I also thought basil would be a nice herb to use. I will have to go easy on the chilli flakes, maybe some very finely chopped fresh chillies minus the seed. Have a super day. 🙂 xo

  1. Ah yes, pasta gives that burst of energy needed when exercise increases. And it tastes good too! We don’t eat much pasta, but it is always an easy meal to pull together when we do. Simple and tasty!

  2. Now that’s a fantastic un-recipe. Of course you need your pasta! Pasta and running go together. The MS Foundation that Niki’s running for in the Boston Marathon is throwing them a pasta dinner the Friday before the race.

  4. I know what you mean. When I do swim squads I come home craving pasta. I love this recipe and how simple it is yet so full of flavour and great after a long run (or swim!) xx

  5. My son has been running and I can’t believe his appetite now. And he’s tired because he’s not getting enough calories, at least that’s what I think. If only I could run!! Love this sort of recipe.. the pasta.. the butter.. the garlic:Dxx

    • So pleased I am not the only one who is tired – I thought it was the old perimenopause at play. Good to know it might be I am not getting enough calories. I can’t run either Smidge but I get out there anyway. My mom saw me running the other day and doubled over with laughter at what I look like. Have a super day. 🙂 xo
