I am thrilled to bits and tickled pink to tell you I am on a road trip with Pete and we are currently in Mozambique so will not be around for a short while.

Until then, au revoir

    • Thanks so much Lizzy. I have an hour free while Pete is in a meeting so I quickly came to the business centre to moderate some comments. So far I am having a wonderful time. Have a beautiful day. 🙂 XO

    • Kath, thank you! We are truly having a special time. Pete busy with a quick meeting and then it is back out for an adventurous day weaving through the local markets. I cannot wait. Love and hugs to you dear. 🙂 xoxoxo

    • I am clicking away at every opportunity Charlie. I fit the tourist persona perfectly. I hope to get some goodies to share with you all when we are back home. Have a beautiful day. 🙂 xo

  1. I’m so jealous. I can just imagine all the amazing wildlife you are going to see and it’s still so cold here in the U.K. Take some elephant pictures for me please! Have a great time and I look forward to hearing about all your adventures. Emma xx

    • Hi Emma. We were recently in our Addo park and I took loads of pics of ellies especially for you. I just have not had the opportunity to put them into a post yet. Not sure we will see any here in Maputo but we are planning on going home through the Kruger National Park which is huge compared to our park so I may just be able to get a few more shots for you. Have a wonderful day and here´s to your weather warming up soon. Interestingly, the weather here stay more or less the same all year around – perfect summer weather from beginning to end. I could definitely get used to that. 🙂 xoxo

      • You know how to make me even more jealous with your summer weather all year round! We get a good 6 months of cold weather here in the U.K and no elephants of course. We were lucky enough to visit kruger when we went to South Africa the year before last and even saw wild dogs, which apparently is very rare. Have a wonderful time and I look forward to seeing your elephant pictures. Emma xx

        • Emma, we tried to go into the kruger on our way back but we had booze in the boot so they wouldn’t allow us in – they weren’t even willing to hold it for us. Must say we were quite the helling but loved being able to et back into our own park. I will put another post together with some photos for you son. Have a beautiful day. 🙂 xo

    • Diane, we are having an absolute blast. To start every morning, I am waking up to coconut palms and the beach! Could get used this life and the weather is just perfect. Oh my, I am not going to want to leave. You will be proud to hear I have even run on the beach. 🙂 xoxo

      • All right Mandy! That’s excellent for calf muscles – running on sand. You know what I would do? I’d just not go home. This is funny, but sad too – one of my best friend’s mother has dementia & he’s been trying his best to take care of her but she won’t leave her home to go into assisted living. Then all of a sudden, she decided that she was going to go live in Italy! Richie’s very good & goes along with the things she thinks of these days but asked her if she’d really thought it through & how was she going to even get over there. She’s got it all figured out … she’s going to tell her niece that they’re going on vacation & once they’re over there, she’s just not going to come home. Yup, got it all figured out. So do the same – just don’t come home and figure out the details later. xoxo enjoy!

          • oh absolutely, got to have the kitties. It’s funny but I always thought I’d be able to go places more easily once my daughter got older. But I’ve always had cats and dogs and it’s much more complicated to figure out what to do about them when you go away. My dog is actually easier than Moe the cat. Lola will go anywhere with anyone but Moe – well, let’s just say that he doesn’t travel well.

          • Aah yes, cat are way more complicated than dogs. Thankfully we have a gent who works for us to come and look after the kitties while we are away and to keep an eye on the house. He sends me daily What’sApp messages to tell me how they are. Very special! xo

    • Thanks Glenda. It is absolutely wonderful so far. Taking photos at every opportunity so hopefully will have a few nice ones to share with everybody when I am back home. Have a happy day. 🙂 xo

    • My darling Kim, it was absolutely wonderful being away with my Pete and then to have him come home with me for an additional was absolute heaven! Only getting back to everything now! Love, love, love to you. 🙂 xoxoxo

  2. I cant wait to hear ALLLLLLLLL about your adventures. Travel safe my friend. And, be sure to soak up some rays and grab some beach time for me too please. 🙂
    Love & hugs, Anna xo

    • The trip was all too short Anna but absolutely wonderful! I treasure each trip I can make with Pete. A little birdy told me there might even be the opportunity to go with to Swaziland soonish. Woohoo! Imagine how awesome that would be and then not much after that we will start the big countdown to your arrival! 😀
Love and hugs to you. 🙂 xoxoxo
