I had 2 bananas and a packet of dark chocolate chips next to each other on the counter and had an idea to turn them into muffins – brilliant idea, they turned out perfectly – super light and moist. I was so proud of my efforts that I called my friend Moira to come and photograph my creation. These muffins are well worth making and come together in a cinch. 🙂
Thanks Moira for the beautiful pictures.

Thanks Raymund, they really were fabulous. 🙂
I have never thought about banana’s and chocolate together!
I highly recommend trying the combo. 🙂
Now, here’s a muffin that I would definately enjoy with my coffee. Great photo’s taken by your friend. x
Thanks Yvette. I bet you would make these look incredible with your wonderful flare for photography. 🙂
Oh, yummy – that yoghurt in there must have made them so moist! I’ll have one right now thanks 😉
You’re in luck, there is just one left. 🙂
These really look like a perfect way to begin the day. They’d disappear in no time on my table. I’m new to your blog and have spent some time poking around. I really like the food and recipes you share with your readers. I’ll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary
Hi Mary, welcome and thanks for stopping by. I am looking forward to sharing with you – you have a great blog. Have a good day too. 🙂
Oh my wife would adore those!
I would love to hear how she enjoys them if you make them. 🙂
Oh nice! My kids would love these muffins! Your friend is a great photographer too! I like the sound of yogurt in the muffins – oh I’m so hungry now! 😀 Thank you for the recipe!
Thanks Nami. If a recipe calls for milk, I think I will replace it with yoghurt all the time now. 🙂
Such a tasty way to start the day.
Starting the day this way, makes the day so much nicer. 🙂
Oh this sounds like a great combo! It is about lunch here but I feel like going for breakfast another round with this recipe 🙂
Thanks Tes. 🙂

sweetlife
Thanks Sweetlife. 🙂
These muffins look delicious! I love your use of yogurt, too. Much healthier than all the butter than typically goes into a homemade muffin. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Georgia. I am going to make them this weekend again and replace the oil with applesauce which will make them even healthier. 🙂
Those look so delicious! Dark chocolate is the best! And, Moira’s pictures are lovely!
I agree, dark chocolate is my favourite. 🙂
i love using yogurt in cakes, keep them moist longer, not that the cakes would last that long anyhow.
now, these muffins, wish I had a magic wand and have them ready for breakfast
Wish I could send a batch over to you Roxana. 🙂
Ahhh you are torturing me here, Mandy! I am on a no-dessert/sweets diet for a little while so this is killing me… Maybe I will make an exception just for this…
Oh no, a no dessert/sweets diet sounds like hard work! If you do make the exception, ENJOY! 😉
Mandy, these muffins sound moist and flavorful. I love banana with chocolate! Can’t wait to try this variation out. 🙂
Thanks MamaSteph – I am making them again this afternoon and replacing the oil with applesauce and using half dark brown sugar. 🙂
Those muffins do look really moist so they must have been a joy to eat. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog and I’d like to invite you to stop by and link your muffins up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/05/sweets-for-saturday-17.html
Hi Lisa. Welcome and thanks for stopping by. 🙂 Thanks for the invite. I am heading over to your blog to link my muffins to your linky party. 🙂
Great combo and they sure were good to have this morning after partying at the beach all night 😉
Thanks for linking up. Have a great week!
Thanks Martha. I am looking forward to your weekly beach party. 🙂
I stopped by via Martha’s virtual party. I can’t believe all the great recipes. Gotta be careful or you all will make me really fat!
🙂
I love that these are made with yoghurt!
Kat
Hi Kat, welcome and thanks for stopping by. I love baking with yogurt, it really makes baked goods so much softer and more moist. 🙂
