This is one of those meals you can have ready in 20 minutes, you know, for those evenings when you have sat behind the computer for too long AGAIN…

Pasta of choice
250g button mushrooms sliced
Vegetable spice
2.5ml dry thyme
250ml cream
60ml dry white wine

  1. Cook the pasta as per the package instructions.
  2. Fry the mushrooms in a little butter sprinkled with the vegetable spice and thyme until tender.
  3. Pour the cream and wine into the pan and bring to a boil.
  4. Mix the maizena with a little water and stir through the cream mixture to thicken.
  5. Add the garlic and season with salt and black pepper.

  1. This is my kind of pasta dish, Mandy. You get an awful lot of flavor for such a simple preparation and it’s ready in minutes. It just doesn’t get much better than this. πŸ™‚

  2. It’s 9 a.m. here and I still want that dish of pasta. It’s been a while since I’ve made pasta of any kind, and I like how easy this one is. It’d be a great lunch for me. Today. πŸ™‚ I am crazy about mushroom anything, so this will work! Thanks Mandy!

  3. This is on my menu for this week now Mandy. Delicious!!!! It’s got so many of my favorites and the thyme would add a new twist to pasta for me. I hope all is well and that the weather has subsided. πŸ™‚

    • How lovely that you will be making this, this week Kristy. I wonder how Mr N and Miss A will score it. We have made a good start to the repairs and our handyman will complete the work when he is here on Mondays and Fridays. Can’t wait to be back to normal again. Have a super day. πŸ™‚

    • Oh any good store should supply slat, right next to the salt!!! Oh dear, thanks for spotting that, have updated the post. M, you can use milk instead of cream – you may just have to thicken it a little bit more or alternatively try crΓ¨me fraiche and then you could skip thickening it all together. Thanks again for the lovely chat this morning. I will get cracking with my homework asap! πŸ™‚ xo
